Learner goals and capabilities

Seneca Polytechnic’s Innovation Work-Integrated Learning (InnWIL) program connects a small and medium-sized enterprise (SMEs) with 5 students eager to develop intrapreneurial skills by tackling real-world challenges. These learners bring a strong foundation in problem-solving, research, and project management, along with experience using design and systems thinking methodologies.

Five students are connected with an SME who can provide an authentic business challenge and hands-on learning that fosters innovation. SMEs are expected to engage with learners, guide their efforts through a one-on-one, share relevant information, attend the final presentation virtually, and provide constructive feedback via the Riipen platform.
